The Breath of Life: embodying concept throughout the directorial process

This workshop explores how you, the director, can take a vision or concept for a production through the foundation, pitching, pre-production and rehearsal stages of the directing process. Through a practical session we will be exploring what you need to begin, the flexibility required throughout the process and ways to navigate the ups and downs of getting a production on. We will use examples from text and devised-based work, as well as examples from participants’ own projects. You can bring work you are in the process of making or recently completed examples.
