Synopsis
Two young men from different backgrounds meet and begin to compete in an industry that inherently favours one over the other. When they realise that they can learn from each other to help them thrive, a friendship forms. But how far will each of them go to play the friend, and what is their ultimate goal?
Inspired by the #BlackLivesMatter movement in 2020, A Final Act of Friendship shows the importance of sticking up and showing up for your friend at all costs and examines those difficult conversations about race which we so often shy away from. More than anything, it’s a show about unearthing a vital, new perspective on the complexities of human connections.
Playing as part of Curve’s Black History Month celebrations.
