Following the World Premiere of Vertical Road here at Curve last Autumn, and after successful collaborations with world-renowned artists Sylvie Guillem and Anish Kapoor, celebrated choreographer and performer Akram Khan reutrns with DESH, a new full length contemporary solo inspired by an reflecting on his homeland of Bangladesh.

DESH will explore the idea of transformation – of body, land, identity and memory, while examining the contradictions of Khan’s British-Asian identity.

Khan teams up with Oscar-winning visual designer Tim Yip (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon), lighting designer Michael Hulls and Olivier award-winning composer Jocelyn Pook.
