Sing-along to Beauty and the Beast this Saturday
Well the Easter holidays are over, but there’s still chance to treat the children to a family friendly morning at the theatre. Singalonga Productions have just the show for you – read on to find out what they have in store for you.
Sing-a-long-a Beauty and the Beast is our new show. Watch as love unfurls just like the rose in the bell jar. Sigh as they twirl around the dance floor and finally kiss…
We here at Singalonga ask you to “Be our Guest” at Sing-a-Long-a Beauty and the Beast, celebrating the brand new adaptation of Disney’s iconic fairy tale with on-screen lyrics so everyone can join in. We are delighted to be bringing the show to Leicester at Curve. We know what a great audience you have been at other Singalonga shows and this one will be no exception! Help us celebrate the first time we bring this screening to Leicester.
This is your chance to sing your heart out to Disney favourites such as “Be our Guest”, “Belle”, “Gaston” and not forgetting the “Beauty and The Beast”. You can sing along with Emma Watson, Ewan McGregor and Emma Thompson in this romantic fairy tale. Just see if you can stop those tears at the end!
Your Singalonga host will start with a pre-show warm-up where they will warm up your voices, teach you some hand actions, show you how to use the famous Singalonga props bag during the film and tell you when to Boo the arrogant Gaston – and of course take a look at those fabulous costumes you are wearing, so make sure to dress up!
For those of you who don’t know the story… Belle (Emma Watson), a bright, beautiful and independent young woman, is taken prisoner by a beast (Dan Stevens) in its castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the beast’s hideous exterior, allowing her to recognize the kind heart and soul of the true prince that hides inside.
So come along and celebrate this “tale as old as time” with us, dress as your favourite character and get ready to feel part of a real fairytale at Curve. It’s going to be great!
