Nelsons supports local arts and culture with sponsorship of Curve
Leading East Midlands law firm Nelsons has pledged its support to local arts and culture by becoming a Curve theatre Business Sponsor.
Nelsons’ sponsorship of Curve includes the launch of a quarterly business club. Hosted by the theatre, guests will have the opportunity to explore behind-the-scenes of productions, meet with creative teams and network with other attendees.
Nelsons will also help Curve to increase access to the arts with the sponsorship of free tickets to a range of performances. These will be made available to community members who might not otherwise be able to attend the theatre and distributed by Curve’s Community Ambassadors and charity partners. In addition, the sponsorship will give Nelsons team members the opportunity to volunteer at Curve, such as assisting audience members at Dementia Friendly Performances.
Glynis Wright MBE, partner at Nelsons’ Leicester office, said:
“I’m delighted that we are partnering with Curve to create an event format where business meets theatre in an exciting and memorable way. These quarterly events will be special experiences that won’t be available to anyone else, at any other venue, making for a truly different and creative networking experience.”
Stewart Vandermark, Nelsons’ chief executive, said:
“Each of our Business Hub events will allow Leicestershire professionals to experience something unique to encourage more valuable conversations and connections to be created.
“As a firm, we understand the value of forming strong business relationships, so this is the ideal partnership for Nelsons to simultaneously support the region and the county’s cultural scene.
“The arts bring a diverse range of people together and Nelsons has always been a supporter of the sector for this reason. Organisations such as Curve are at the heart of a community and we’re excited for the Business Hub to place Nelsons at the cultural centre of the city.”
Curve’s Chief Executive Chris Stafford and Artistic Director Nikolai Foster said:
“We are incredibly grateful to the team at Nelsons for this vital sponsorship, which will enable our organisations to work together to increase engagement with our theatre amongst our communities, and further foster connections between local businesses.
“In these challenging times, support for the arts is more important than ever and we are thrilled Nelsons recognises the importance of making theatre accessible to all and how it can enrich all of our lives. We look forward to welcoming the Nelsons team into the Curve family.”
