Musical Theatre - Week Two

Devising new Musical Theatre                                                                  Led by Katie Bonna and Rob Green

Work with like-minded young people to devise your own brand new Musical Theatre piece, using contemporary styles of music including R&B, pop, hip hop and maybe some beat boxing. Musicians are encouraged, but this course is open to anyone with some creative skills who wants to sing, act and move….

Katie Bonna is an actress, poet and writer for stage and screen. Her one-woman show All The Things I Lied About won the 2018 Off West End Award for Most Promising New Playwright following runs at the Paines Plough Roundabout, Edinburgh, Soho Theatre and a UK tour 2017.  She regularly runs devising musical theatre courses with the National Youth Musical Theatre.

Rob Green is a musician and composer.  An alumnus of the Nottingham Television Workshop, Rob is a member of Curve Associate Company Sheep Soup, whose 2017 musical opened the Inside Out Festival.  Rob has performed as a singer and musician at the BBC Proms, Splendour Festival and supported Earth, Wind & Fire on their 2018 UK arena tour.
