Leicestershire - we need you! Take part in our new digital project with poet Jess Green
In collaboration with award-winning Leicester performance poet and Curve Breakthrough Artist Jess Green, we’re looking for people from Leicester and Leicestershire to participate in a new digital project from your home.
We are all doing our bit to stay at home and support our frontline workers. Despite the fact we are pulling together as a city, it can be disheartening to see our city’s streets empty, when they were so vibrant and full of life before. It’s easy to think everything’s stopped and there’s nothing going on.
But we want to celebrate that all over Leicester, in every household, people are turning to art, culture, sports and creativity as a way of getting through this. We aren’t alone – culture is for everyone and we will come together and share cultural experiences when all of this is over.
All you need to do if you want to be involved is send us a 20-second video of you, your family or friends doing an activity that is keeping you occupied. This could be anything from cross-stitching to playing football in the garden, painting a rainbow, watching a really good movie, dressing up in your best outfit, writing a short story, making a lemon drizzle cake to playing a video game. Get creative!
Please record your video in landscape mode, and send your submissions by midnight on Wednesday the 27th May to e.oulton@curvetheatre.co.uk
Video too large to send over email? Please use WeTransfer to send across your file to e.oulton@curvetheatre.co.uk
