HOTEL BROOKLYN BACKS CURVE’S MISSION FOR INCREASED ACCESSIBILITY PROVISION THROUGH NEW SPONSORSHIP

Leicester’s Hotel Brooklyn has partnered with Curve theatre by pledging its support as an Access Provision sponsor.

The two venues are committed to creating an accessible and friendly space for all, with Hotel Brooklyn’s sponsorship supporting Curve with its ambitious plans to increase accessibility at the theatre.

Between 2022 and 2023, Curve programmed 81 access performances including: British Sign Language interpreted performances, Captioned performances, Audio Described performances with Touch Tours, Dementia Friendly performances and Relaxed performances.

Hotel Brooklyn Leicester’s Operations Manager Dennis Pisarenco said:

Curve’s Chief Executive Chris Stafford and Artistic Director Nikolai Foster said:

Bringing a sense of the trendy New York borough to Leicester, Hotel Brooklyn opened in 2022 on Welford Road, next door to The Leicester Tigers rugby ground. In 2021, Hotel Brooklyn’s sister hotel in Manchester won the Cateys Accessibility Award, which recognises operators going above and beyond the requirements of the Equality Act in accommodating and catering for people with disabilities and special needs.
