Curve seeks Young Trustee and Members for New Youth Panel

Curve is calling on local 18 – 26 year olds with a passion for theatre and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusivity to join its brand-new Youth Panel. The group will help steer the direction of the theatre and ensure it continues to engage with young people from Leicester, Leicestershire and beyond.

The Youth Panel will consist of up to 10 voluntary positions, with one member also acting as co-chair of the group and sitting on Curve’s Board as a Young Trustee.

Sita McIntosh, Chair of Curve’s Board of Trustees, said:

“The creation of this new Youth Panel is a really exciting step. I’m looking forward to seeing Curve bring together an enthusiastic group of local young people who share Curve’s inclusive and ambitious values to help steer the theatre’s future.

“I’m also thrilled that one of the panel members will join Curve’s Board. This is a fantastic opportunity to participate in the running of one of the UK’s leading arts organisations and will ensure future audiences and artists voices play an active role in Curve’s plans.”

Youth Panel members will act as ambassadors for the theatre and will play an integral role in making sure young people are central to Curve’s ambitions and plans. Panellists will also be able to take part in training, and have the opportunity to attend performances and activities across the organisation.
