AUDITIONS NOW OPEN FOR CURVE’S COMMUNITY PRODUCTIONS OF ANNIE AND RENT

Leicester’s Curve theatre has announced the audition process is now open for this summer’s highly anticipated Community Productions of Annie (26 Jul – 10 Aug) and Rent (31 Jul, 1, 4, 7 Aug).

Following the outstanding success of previous productions of Sweeney Todd, Oliver! and West Side Story, for the first time Curve is presenting two Community musicals directed by Curve Artistic Director, Paul Kerryson.

Director Paul Kerryson commented:

“Providing a platform for local performers is central our work at Curve, and we’re continually amazed by the high standard of talent in Leicester, Leicestershire and the East Midlands. In response, we’re delighted to be able to present not one, but two fantastic shows, the Tony Awarding musicals, Annie and Rent. Last year, we were overwhelmed by the audition response and saw over 400 local performers audition for Sweeney Todd – so we’re excited to find the next local company who will work with our professional team at Curve.”

Audition application forms are now available for download from the Annie and Rent show pages on Curve’s website.

Auditions will be taking place at Curve on 6, 12, 19, 29, 20 and 27 March and 2 and 3 April 2014.
