Join us for the next instalment of our In Conversation with… Membership Events as we welcome globally recognised choreographer, dancer, Artistic Director and Curve Associate Artist Aakash Odedra to Rehearsal Room 2.
Born in Birmingham, Aakash trained in the classical Indian dance styles of Kathak and Bharatanatyam before moving to India to become a student of renowned Bollywood choreographer Shiamak Davar. The co-founder and Artistic Director of Leicester based dance company Aakash Odedra Company, Aakash has performed over 300 times in 40 countries. He will be discussing his work and career with Curve’s Executive Producer Rebekah Jones ahead of bringing the company’s first duet in their acclaimed repertoire, Samsara, to Curve on Saturday 1 October.
A pre-show reception will be held on the mezzanine. The conversation with Aakash will begin at 7:30pm and run for approximately 45 minutes, followed by a Q&A.
