Synopsis
PART OF INSIDE OUT FESTIVAL 2017
—–
Proto-type are developing a new performance that explores greed, power, and how our relationship to money defines our relationship to the world. They’re turning a questioning eye and a pointing finger at big business, the illusion of currency and the hidden monetary systems that govern how we live our lives.
The Audit is the second in a series of performed work looking at notions of power, privilege, secrecy, and ‘us versus them’. It follows A Machine they’re Secretly Building (2016) – a powerful, factual expose of spies, lies and government surveillance that responded to the impact of the Snowden revelations.
